Reel vs. Real Life

Most people dream of being in the limelight, and that is an easy spot to stand on. In reality, it takes a lot of work to balance your true life, and the life on camera. On this episode, Nana and I talked about her journey on her rise to being a known content creator and a glimpse of her realizations about how our profession is not a mirror of our life as a whole. How does she balance life and work? Come and let’s find out!

How to balance both?

1) Set Clear Boundaries

Establish clear boundaries between work and personal time. Define specific work hours and avoid checking work emails or taking calls outside of those hours.

2) Time Management

Use time management techniques to increase productivity at work, allowing you to complete tasks more efficiently and reduce the likelihood of needing to work long hours.

3) Learn to Say No

Avoid overcommitting yourself. Politely decline additional work or social engagements if they will negatively impact your work-life balance.

4) Regular Reflection

Periodically assess your work-life balance and make adjustments as needed. What might have worked well in the past may need to be adjusted based on changing circumstances.

5) Celebrate Achievements

Acknowledge and celebrate both small and big achievements in both your work and personal life. This can boost your motivation and sense of accomplishment.

Work-life balance is not a one-size-fits-all solution. It's about finding what works best for you, your career, and your personal circumstances. Regularly reassess your strategies and adjust as needed to maintain a healthy equilibrium between work and life.

If your goals don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough.
