How do you deal with stress?

Upkeep your relationship with God. Do your devotions in the morning and pray at night. Always remember, we serve a sovereign God that takes care of us no matter what happens.

Eat well. It may be tempting, but DON’T binge on sugar or alcohol.

○ Eating healthy helps with your stress coping mechanism and levels out your body so you don’t get crashes within the day.

Eat well, exercise regularly, get a decent amount of sleep.Spend time with people that you love, people who encourage you and laugh with you.

How did you survive a breakup?

Allow yourself to feel and go through the season of grieving. Its okay to miss the person and feel sad, but of course, do not allow yourself to wallow in sadness for too long.

After processing things, move on. Challenge the time, energy and love you focused on that person to taking care and improving yourself and loving your friends and family.

Be rooted in Christ. There is no other way to feel more content and loved.

What are emotional habits you have to let go of to become an adult?

○Joyce shares some emotional habits she had to let go like escapism, blaming others or bringing up past mistakes.

○ It’s easy to distract yourself and escape from your problems. But, escaping things only allows you to be okay for the moment but not for the long run. Confront your problems and the issues that you have with people that you love.

○ When things go wrong, it can be easy to just blame another person or blame your circumstances. Life will always throw you things that are not in control and the only thing you can control is your response. So choose to get over it and work on fixing the problem instead.

○ Stop bringing up past mistakes of other people. You have to let go of things if you want to grow. Focus instead on fixing the root cause of the problem.

What should you do with a toxic friend?

It’s not your responsibility to make someone change.

○ The only thing we can do is to confront them lovingly. Make them aware of the things that they have been doing, but before talking about it, ask them questions about the things you’ve heard or observed to make sure that it’s actually true.

Talk to them after your emotions have died down. Remind them that you are there to tell them the truth and not judge them.

○ If it still doesn’t work out, don’t be afraid to cut ties and let go.

How do you deal with bad days?

It’s just a bad day not a bad life. Instead of focusing on the things that are not working out, focus and be grateful for the things that are working out for you.

○ Everyone goes through bad days or even, bad seasons. However, you must always remember that everything will eventually be okay even if it doesn’t feel like it at present.

No calm seas ever made good sailors. If your not going through trials, you are not getting the opportunity to grow.
